Traffic in Highway Gothic is a new version of Kenneth Goldsmith's Traffic - typeset in Series E of the Federal Highway Administration fonts, which was engineered in the late 1940s when the interstate system was rapidly expanding across America. Highway Gothic became the standard typographic voice for all state and federal roads across the country, but has been slowly disappearing since Kenneth Goldsmith first published Traffic in 2007. |
